Welcome!

Hello!  We are the Broadalbin-Perth Science Research Club!  If you're reading this post, then you've found one of our tagged walleyes, hopefully from the Great Sacandaga Reservoir in Upstate New York.

If you don´t mind, we´d like you to share a few details with us regarding when you found the fish (if you can´t provide any of these, don´t sweat!):
  • The general location caught on the lake, including landmarks
  • The length of the fish
  • The time and day the fish was caught
And some others:
  • The weight of the fish
  • Any noticeable features of the fish (scars, etc.)
  • Whether you kept the fish or released it back into the lake
You can send this information to us at bpscienceresearchclub@gmail.com

Thanks!

The Broadalbin-Perth Science Research Club began with 4 students in 2016, before becoming a club in 2018, and then becoming a full-fledged class in 2019!  We aim to document the growth rate and distribution of walleye in the Great Sacandaga Reservoir in New York.

    1. Hi Dan... thanks for contacting us. Sorry for the rely in our response. The pandemic derailed our tagging efforts and our website went unmanaged for awhile. Do you happen to know the tag number of the fish you caught?

Caught a tagged 16" walleye on 1-30-21 by Sinclair point. The tag was orange with the #200.
The fish was healthy and was kept.

    1. Hi Harry! Thanks for contacting us and congrats on landing one of our tagged walleye. It is definitely our tag, but can you do me a favor and look at the tag number again. We don't have a #200. I do know that mold grows on the tag. Can you clean it a bit to see if the number is different. You can send me a picture of the tag if that helps.
      Thank you!
